I like to think that I’m a great DIY-er, but truth be told, I seldom do DIM. And quilting seems to be on the very high end of motivated DIY-ing, so I probably won’t ever make use of this Single Girl Quilt pattern by Denyse Schmidt. But I do covet it.

I try to keep these blog pretty purely about design and design inspiration, but I can’t stop thinking about Even Cleveland’s post about the Ama Girls, the diving fisherwomen of early 20th Century Japan. The story is fascinating and the photos are mind-blowingly beautiful.
A few weeks ago The Man and I were privileged enough to attend the most loving, swankest Brooklyn wedding there ever was. The bride was flawless in a vintage satin dress and the loft that held the wedding was made magical by tons of paper lanterns, doilies and honeycombs. Magnificent!
I always think I should save my boarding passes, as a momento of my travels… But these days they’re not even kitschy ugly, they’re just entirely unremarkable. Tyler N. Thompson is imagining another world.
