Really smart shoebox design by Fuse Project for Puma - uses 65% less cardboard, no tissue, and can be re-used. That’s what I like to see.

Sweetest little honey jar. The logo and tag are a little too sweet for me, but I do love that little bee-jar.

Every other design blogger seemed to get all flippin excited about these. Which I ABSOLUTELY did not understand. Hideous waste of a die-cut if you ask me. This, however, is smart, useful design. I approve.

Sweet printed jars for all your home recipes from UK company Burgon & Ball. Unfortunately the rest of their collection is a little less chic and a little more country home.

Ohhh, so good. I’m always trying to find things to replace ribbon! Wrapping’s easy, I’m a big fan of kraft paper, or chinese newspaper, or free corbis posters. But ribbon’s the tough part — I always want to seal everything off with gorgeous, expensive, grosgrain ribbon. No more! Not with this How About Orange tutorial for making recycled magazine bows.
And this tutorial for making the same bows out of felt, may be even better.
I love MUJI and I love LEGO, and collabs between brands I love can send literal shivers of anticipation down my spine. However, I have to say, despite the soothing colors, fun shapes, and cleaner packaging that MUJI brought to the table, this collab is pretty lame. It seems more like a diehard-adult-muji-fan-desk-toy than anything I would want to give to a kid. But you can judge for yourself.

Super cute kiddie soap packaging by illustrator, Crystal Barlow. So simple and so fun. And I love how much she did with just one color. See more, at SeeSaw Designs.

Really nice (some of it), simple, packaging for Homebase
Perfect packaging. Each package is so unique and special. Go look.
